Project Engineer – Data Centres
Location: Hybrid with National Travel
Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime + Company Van
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00
Contract: Permanent

About The Client

The Client is a leading facilities management organisation, bringing engineering heritage and innovation together to create better, more efficient workplaces for customers across the UK.

Role Overview

Due to continued growth, The Client is seeking an experienced engineer to support and deliver data centre power projects, ensuring high-quality technical, operational and safety standards across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical/mechanical elements of resilient power projects.

  • Manage specialist subcontractors and oversee their workmanship.

  • Prepare technical briefs, specifications and project documentation.

  • Review technical submissions and ensure quality control processes are followed.

  • Support project planning, programmes, RAMS and procurement activities.

  • Attend client meetings, pre-starts and factory acceptance tests.

  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.

  • Ensure all project work adheres to health & safety, CDM regulations and company procedures.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and supply chain partners.

About You

  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.

  • Experience delivering complex power or data centre projects.

  • Understanding of control systems (training provided).

  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage project resources effectively.

  • Confident managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.

  • Willingness to undertake internal training and follow company processes.
