Team Manager - Substation Electrical Design

We're seeking an experienced Team Manager (Substation Electrical Design) to join a growing engineering team delivering major power and renewable energy projects across Ireland. This position offers a great opportunity for a driven individual to take on a leadership role, managing a team of electrical engineers and overseeing the full design lifecycle of substation and grid infrastructure projects.

• Lead a team of electrical design engineers working on substation projects.

• Manage design activities including primary and secondary layouts, protection, control systems, and technical documentation.

• Review and approve designs to ensure technical accuracy, safety, and compliance.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging professional development.

• Promote a strong safety culture and proactive risk management approach.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

• 8+ years' experience in substation or power system design.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ePlan, and MS Office (cable design software advantageous).

• Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, and renewable energy systems.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
