First Achieves Engineering Team is actively recruiting a Control Panel Wireman to join our client's team in Clydebank. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Fitter looking to advance their career with a respected industry leader.
About the Role:
Our client operates a four-day working week at their Clydebank factory, giving you the benefit of a long weekend every week! Please note, due to the hands-on nature of this role, remote or hybrid working options are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately reading and interpreting electrical drawings to wire control panels
* Wiring and fitting of control panels, switchgear, switchboards, and distribution boards
* Common control wiring and PLC wiring
* Fitting copper busbars
* Wiring and assembling Motor Control Centres (MCCs)
* Occasional UK-based site visits may be required
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar panel wiring role is essential
* Strong knowledge of switchgear and switchboard wiring
* Experience with electrical testing of switchgear panels and MCCs is a plus
* Relevant qualifications or time-served apprenticeship preferred
