MB655: Electrician
Location: Erbil Airport, Iraq
Salary: £43,000 + 75% uplifts which includes 20 hours overtime and locations allowances, this brings the salary up to £75,250 subject to UK tax for whole duration of assignment. This equates to approx. £4,558 per month after UK tax. Accommodation and flights included
Working Hours: Rotation shift pattern – 12 weeks on and 3 weeks off

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit an Electrician on a permanent basis and to predominantly be based at Erbil International Airport in Iraq.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with and mentoring of Company selected sub-contractor on all elements of electrical installation.
Responsible for carrying out and completing electrical test & inspection works.
Inspection, installation, fault finding and repair of electrical installations and Fire Alarm systems.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with site safe systems of work.
Completing electrical installation reports, logbooks, quality assurance inspections, and all related paperwork, including risk assessments and method statements for associated electrical tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience and hold the qualification of City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing.
Experience and hold the qualification of UK Electrical Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671.
Familiar with Low Voltage electrical systems; 50 hz of various voltages.
Must have completed recognised apprenticeship within an electrical discipline.
Working with CCTV installations (desirable)
Experience of installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems (desirable)
