We are looking to speak to an experienced Curtain Wall systems designer, who would be interested in working in the stunning city of Dubai, UAE. The role will be working for a globally recognised Facade Contractor.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Design Development: Create detailed curtain wall system designs based on architectural intent, structural requirements, and performance specifications.
Technical Drawings & Modeling: Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
Material & System Selection: Specify appropriate materials, finishes, and systems (e.g., unitized, stick-built) based on structural, thermal, and aesthetic requirements.
Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, faade consultants, and contractors to ensure integration and compliance.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet local building codes, fire safety, thermal performance, wind loads, and water penetration standards.
Problem-Solving: Address design challenges, site conditions, and value engineering requests during design and construction phases.
Documentation & Reports: Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications to support submittals and client approvals.
Site Support: Occasionally assist with on-site installation reviews or troubleshooting during the construction phase.

This vacancy is a non UK based role, and would be required to relocate to Dubai. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working on complex facade and curtain wall projects, being heavily involved in designing bespoke or adapted systems.
