NESFircroft continue to partner with a global power generation OEM who are actively looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to assist for 6 months with a possibility to extend for another 3 months on their high-profile project in Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and calibration of control and instrumentation systems from a CCGT or power plant background

The role will be Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

Essential Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair all electrical, instrumentation and control systems on site.
Perform calibration as required on all control system input and output devices. Example: transmitters, control valves, Switches, etc.
Support Operations and Maintenance personnel as required.
Comply with all applicable environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Minimum 4 years progressively responsible experience in power plant, marine, refinery, or similar industries.
Proficient in calibration and troubleshooting of Instrumentation
Experience with repair or replacement of process control instrumentation.
Fundamental knowledge of programmable logic controllers or distributed control systems.
Fundamental knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.
Able to use test instruments, Fluke Pressure Calibrator, Hart Communicator for electrical testing, Instrument Calibration, and troubleshooting.
Available for call-outs during the week and weekends.
Willing to learn equipment operation, troubleshooting and repair from Manufacturers Manuals or other information
Able to climb ladders and stairs to access equipment installed within the power plant.
Hands on experience on Field Instrument (Transmitters, Switches) Calibration and Troubleshooting.
Reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics
