With 30,000 associates worldwide and approximately 1,000 across the Island of Ireland, we provide clear solutions to complex problems by challenging conventional thinking and promoting equality and diversity throughout our organization, fostering a more inclusive work environment.Position OverviewFollowing our continued success in Ireland, having secured a variety of new and interesting brownfield regeneration, ground investigation, and hydrogeological frameworks and projects, we are looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our team based in Gorey, Wexford.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Experience: You will have experience across diverse sectors, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, supporting our growing profile.Technical Skills: Strong general technical skills are essential, with a technical specialty highly desirable. Experience in authoring and reviewing factual and interpretive geotechnical reports is encouraged.Qualifications: A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering Geology, or a related field is required. A postgraduate qualification such as a Master's degree is beneficial. You should be working towards Chartership with a relevant body, such as CIWEM, IEMA, or Geo Soc.Industry Experience: Postgraduate industry experience is necessary.Technical Guidance: Understanding of current contaminated land technical guidance and the development planning regime.Site Management: Experience in planning, managing, and supervising ground investigation on-site, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring, with the ability to interpret data. Specific site works accreditations/qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS) are advantageous.Consultancy Experience: Experience in delivering ground investigation works.Report Writing: Ability to produce Phase 1 geo-environmental desktop study reports incorporating preliminary risk assessment and Phase 2 interpretative reports including qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and full IT literacy are required for writing clear, concise, and technically robust reports.Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental management.Driving License: A full, preferably clean, driving license.Team Player: Strong social, interpersonal, and communication skills.Work EnvironmentWe anticipate that approximately 50% of your time will be site-based and 50% office-based, though this may vary as workload dictates.AttributesSound Technical KnowledgeEnthusiasmSelf-MotivationExcellent Verbal and Written Communication SkillsApplicationIf you are passionate about Geo-Environmental Sciences and looking for a varied workload, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team.
