Our client is a leading consultancy specialising in the water and wider infrastructure sectors, providing expert commercial, cost, and project management services to some of the UK’s most significant capital delivery programmes. With a growing project portfolio, they are seeking Quantity Surveyors at all levels to join their expanding team.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering commercial and cost management support across a range of projects, primarily within the UK water industry. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with client expectations.
There will also be opportunities to broaden your experience across other infrastructure sectors, including rail, highways, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial and cost management support across multiple live projects.
- Manage contracts and procurement processes under NEC forms of contract.
- Prepare cost estimates, valuations, and reports to support project delivery.
- Lead or contribute to tendering, cost control, and value engineering exercises.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Support junior team members (for Senior/Associate roles) and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the water or wider infrastructure sectors is essential.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of NEC contracts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ideally working toward or already holding RICS/ICES membership (or equivalent professional qualification).
