Freight Forwarding Manager

£40k - £50k DOE

Our well-established client working within the logistics industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experiencedFreight Forwarding Managerto join their already flourishing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the transportation of goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Building and maintaining relationships with carriers, agents, and vendors
  • Planning and tracking shipments in collaboration with clients and carriers
  • Making sure all operations comply with international and domestic trade regulations
  • Supervising staff and managing freight processes
  • Handling contracts, transportation costs, and charges with carriers and agents
  • Using logistics IT systems to track goods throughout the shipping process
  • Addressing any delays or problems that arise during shipping
  • Preparing and managing budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving complaints and concerns
  • Planning and implementing training programs for staff

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of Freight Forwarding experience
  • Experience manging staff
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Results driven
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Good time management
