Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Import Operator to join our busy import department. The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for coordinating and managing the full cycle of import shipments, ensuring smooth delivery of goods, customs compliance, and excellent customer service.
  • This role requires strong organisational skills, knowledge of import processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.

As an Import Operator, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage all import shipments from booking to final delivery
  • Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers
  • Prepare and process import documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, etc.)
  • Ensure customs compliance and handle clearance requirements (ASM Sequoia system experience beneficial)
  • Track and monitor shipments, updating clients proactively
  • Manage freight charges, duties, and invoicing accurately
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of information

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in freight forwarding, specifically import operations (air, sea, or road)
  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures and Incoterms
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office and freight management systems
