Overview
We are looking for an experiencedDynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultantto join our digital transformation programme on an18-month fixed-term contract, based inMontreuil, France. This role will play a key part in the successful implementation and optimisation of D365 F&O across the business. As theinternal functional lead, you will work alongside an outsourced implementation partner, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, properly translated into the solution, and delivered effectively. You will act as thebridge between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, supporting design decisions, validating configurations, and driving process alignment across departments.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as theinternal functional expertfor D365 F&O, supporting the design and delivery of modules including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, and Reporting.
- Work closely with business users to gather, document, and validate functional requirements.
- Collaborate with the outsourced implementation partner to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs and follow best practices.
- Review and validate functional specifications, configurations, and process designs.
- Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities.
- Provide hands-on support during system testing, cutover, and post-go-live phases.
- Ensure alignment between system functionality and business processes, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
- Create and maintain functional documentation, process maps, training guides, and user manuals.
- Support data migration, reporting, and system integration activities in collaboration with the wider project team.
- Monitor and respond to functional issues, escalating as necessary and supporting resolution.
- Keep up to date with D365 F&O updates, industry trends, and relevant Microsoft roadmap changes.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as aDynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant, with exposure to full lifecycle implementations.
- Strong functional knowledge of one or more D365 F&O modules: Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, or related areas.
- Experience working withexternal implementation partners, including the ability toact as a smart customerby challenging and validating their approach.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in test planning, UAT support, and user training.
- Familiarity with standard project delivery frameworks (Agile or Waterfall).
