Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision
Location: Hulme, Manchester
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive daily rate / pay-scale (depending on experience)

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, youll:

Support pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional and behavioural needs

Help de-escalate challenging behaviour using trauma-informed approaches

Build positive, trusting relationships that promote emotional regulation

Assist in academic lessons and therapeutic activities

Work closely with experienced teachers, mentors, and clinical teams

Ideal Candidate
Recent psychology graduate with genuine interest in child development and mental health

Resilient, empathetic and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting

Able to communicate effectively with pupils, families and staff

Some experience working with young people (e.g. volunteering, tutoring, coaching) is a bonus
