Your new companyHays are pleased to be working with a leader in the manufacturing industry to appoint an HR Officer into a standalone postion for a 12 month fixed term contract. Your new roleAs an HR Officer and play a key role in shaping a positive and compliant workplace culture. You'll provide expert HR support across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, lead recruitment and onboarding efforts, and support employee development and engagement initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your HR career while contributing to strategic people initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance and ensure legal compliance
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
  • Support employee training, development, and performance reviews
  • Promote employee engagement and handle employee relations
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support HR operations

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous HR experience.
  • CIPD part-qualified or working towards certification.
  • Experience in employee records management.
  • Knowledge of employment law NI and ROI, recruitment, and training best practices.
  • Previous experience in performance management and employee relations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience handling staff queries and supporting HR projects and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Effective multitasking and the ability to work under pressure with strong time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Capable of working independently and making sound decisions.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills to ensure smooth HR operations.
