SF Recruitment have recently partnered with a business based in Rotterdam. We're looking for an experienced HR Officer to join a successful business in Rotterdam. You'll support HR operations across both the Netherlands and Belgium, working closely with managers and employees on the full employee lifecycle-from recruitment and onboarding to training and employee relations.
You'll report directly to the HR Director, and be a key point of contact for both strategic HR support and day-to-day operations.

Salary: €65,000 per year
Location: Based in Rotterdam, with regular travel to Malle (Belgium) and occasional visits to Wormerveer (NL)Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)

This role is site based with some flexibility once embedded into the business.


Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with managers to deliver effective HR support across hiring, onboarding, development, and employee engagement.
- Regularly visit the Malle site in Belgium (1x/week) to support the HR function locally.
- Support recruitment processes in partnership with agencies and hiring managers.
- Handle onboarding, contracts, and training plans for new starters.
- Advise managers on employee relations issues, appraisals, and legal compliance.
- Assist with payroll inputs for NL and BE teams.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development activities.

Who We're Looking For:
- At least 5 years' experience in an HR Advisor or Officer role.
- Confident dealing with employee relations and employment law issues.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with HR systems, payroll coordination, and MS Office.
- HR qualification or degree preferred.

Other Details:
- Regular travel: 1 day per week in Malle, Belgium; twice a month in Wormerveer.
- You'll play a vital role in helping us build a positive, productive, and supportive workplace culture across both countries.
