Our client is looking for a driven confident candidate with extensive product knowledge, and a deep understanding of the critical path from concept to production. This position is perfect for someone from a fashion supply background who combines strong numerical skills with creative flair and a genuine passion for product development.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing strong relationships with existing retail accounts.
- Working closely with overseas factories to keep everything running smoothly.
- Costing products, negotiating prices, and making sure deliveries stay on track.
- Sourcing new fabrics and developing exciting new supplier relationships.
- Attending buyer meetings to discuss ranges, pricing, delivery times, and product feedback.
- Collaborating with talented design teams to bring fresh ideas to life.
- Going on inspiration and shopping trips globally with the design team.
- Developing smart sales plans to hit and exceed targets.
- Managing the full critical path to keep orders moving from start to finish.
Person specification:
- Previous experience in womenswear at a fashion supplier.
- Strong product development skills
- Great numeracy skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills - comfortable liaising with factories and clients.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a real passion for product.
