Assembly Team Leader

Location: Hounslow

Hours: 8am to 5pm Mon - Thurs (30-min lunch), 8am to 1pm Fri

Salary: Up to £36,150

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assembly Team Leader to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This hands-on leadership role is crucial in coordinating production activities, managing team performance, and ensuring high standards in the assembly and testing of mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical products.

You'll be responsible for leading a team to meet production targets, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Team Leader

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and motivate an assembly team using Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet On-Time Delivery.

  • Guide team members through hands-on teaching and coaching

  • Maintain open communication across departments

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and positive team attitude

Production & Assembly

  • Assemble and test products according to drawings and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

  • Accurately handle materials, packaging, and dispatch tasks

  • Record any required changes to production documentation

  • Identify and address production issues efficiently

Requirements for the Assembly Team Leader

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role ideally in fabrication, electrical assembly, or pneumatic assembly.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and experience with workshop participation.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and health & safety regulations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • A proactive attitude with a focus on efficiency and team development.
