Our client, a leading Dublin-based company, is seeking an experienced and astute Mechanical Engineering Manager to join their senior leadership team. With a strong construction & mechanical engineering background, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, ensuring robust contract management, and supporting the financial health of the business.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong PPP background
  • Review client contracts, negotiating terms and conditions to safeguard business interests.
  • Lead on the negotiation, agreement, and placement of sub-contract agreements.
  • Support all aspects of commercial reporting, including reviewing cost estimates, cost reports, and WIP reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage change control processes effectively, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Negotiate and settle contentious final accounts with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Drive cashflow optimization across the region to support business growth.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to commercial teams, ensuring effective training, mentoring, and resource management.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health & safety across all projects.

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Public-Private Partnership experience (Preferred)
  • Strong background in the construction or Mechanical industry.
  • Proven track record in commercial management, contract negotiation, and change management.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and manage resources effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel between company offices as required.
