Operations Manager
East Midlands (Loughborough, Nottingham & Derbyshire)
£40,000 Per Annum


We have an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience working with adults with complex needs, Learning Disability, autism and/or mental health conditions.

Whether youre an experienced Operations Manager or a Service Manager looking for the next step in your career, this could be the role for you.

As Operations Manager you are responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient provision of support to the people living within the services.

The services are located in Loughborough, Nottingham and Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To monitor and support the delivery of person centered services within in your defined area.
  • Monitor and support the health and safety of both people using the services and the support staff.
  • Ensure the protection and well being in compliance with external regulations, standards, and monitoring bodies
  • Provide supervision and support to the Service Managers/Service Leads and/or Senior Support Workers through effective recruitment and selection, coaching and performance management as well as support to manage their teams.
  • Ensure effective financial administration of the services delivered, through effective deployment of staff to meet commissioned hours of the service.
  • Use the IT systems available to you to effectively manage and analyse your staff teams incidents, quality assurance, training, and occupancy.
  • Work effectively with external agencies, to promote the work of the company and to increase referrals and placements within the service in line with defined business targets, in conjunction with the Head of Operations and the Business Development function of the business.
  • Develop the knowledge and skills of staff teams through effective induction, and ensuring mandatory and service specific training is provided as and when required.
  • Develop your own knowledge and practice relatively to continuously promoting the development of all services under your responsibility and your own personal development.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements:
  • Must hold a NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in adult social care.
  • Knowledge of legislation pertaining to people with disabilities, care leavers and people living with learning disabilities/mental health issues/physical disabilities.
  • Able to effectively lead and manage teams.
  • Effective at decision making and problem solving
  • Able to manage budgets and use financial data to identify opportunities, risks and issues.
  • Able to demonstrate experience working with vulnerable adults in a fieldwork, residential, day care or youth work.
  • Able to work in a team setting and reflect on your own practice.
  • Flexibility to work within a shift rota system which can include weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties.
  • Must be a driver with full UK driving license.

Desirable Requirements:
  • Hols or working towards a Level 5 qualification.
  • Ability to manage multiple services.
