Salary - £33,000 - £39,000 DOE

Main Purpose:

We're looking for a well-organised and detail-focused Production Planner to join our clients Supply Chain team.

In this role, you'll plan, schedule, and coordinate production to make sure everything runs smoothly and that products are delivered on time. You'll need strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Sometimes, during busy periods, you may be asked to help with extra admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage production schedules based on demand, stock levels, and production capacity.
  • Track production progress and address any potential delays.
  • Lead twice-weekly production meetings to review plans, resolve issues, and align teams.
  • Prioritise tasks for internal production and assembly work.
  • Act as the main link between Sales/Client Support and Operations for updates on orders and delivery timelines.
  • Handle scheduling conflicts and find solutions to keep production on track.
  • Manage relationships with external fabricators and subcontractors, ensuring they deliver on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
  • Work with suppliers to address any quality or delivery problems.
  • Keep the Supply Chain Manager updated on production progress.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain production standards.
  • Work closely with the Engineering/CAD team to prevent any supply delays.
  • Assist with monthly reporting on work-in-progress (WIP) jobs.

Skills Required:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable with negotiation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/365 and comfortable using CRM systems
  • Self-motivated and confident in dealing with people at all levels
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
