Technical Manager
Food Industry
Locations: South, North, Midlands, Scotland
Job Description:
- Maintain and continuously improve the site's food safety and quality management system (FSQMS)
- Ensure complaince with BRCGS, customer codes of practice, and all UK legal requirements
- Lead the site quality assurance team
- Deliver training, coaching, and development to ensure a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage customer audits, sute visits, and regulatory inspections (EHO, Trading Standards)
- Support NPD and EPD trials, ensuring product safety and technical feasability, Leading on food safety by design throughout the NPD and EPD process
- validate new ingredients, suppliers, and processes before full production
- Manage artwork approvals, specification creation, and laugh readiness
Experience / Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a technical manager or similar role within the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and UK food legislation
- Knowledge of retailer quality systems and portals
- Food safety level 4
