Injection Mould Machine operator

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Extrusion Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Chester-le-Street. The successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion lines, drying and blending equipment, and offline granulation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain extrusion lines, drying, and blending equipment.
• Monitor and adjust processes to ensure product specifications are consistently met.
• Conduct quality checks and perform online adjustments as required.
• Wrap and prepare finished products for despatch.
• Complete all necessary production paperwork accurately.
• Support the Shift Team Leader in quality testing and measurements.
• Handle pallets and assist with their movement.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and participate in hygiene audits.
• Promote and ensure safe working practices at all times.

Person Specification:

Professional Qualifications:

• A good general education with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• A current counterbalance forklift licence is required.

Experience:

• At least 2 years' experience in extrusion manufacturing.
