Rail Strategy Lead / Campaign Advisor

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 / year (negotiable)

Fixed Term Contract: 1 year

Working Arrangement: WFH (with meetings in Belfast)

We are working with a massive global contractor within the infrastructure industry who are looking for a Rail Strategy Lead to work on a 1-year fixed term contract in Ireland. Candidates can be based anywhere in Ireland, as the role will be working from home, but you must be required to travel to Dublin for meetings as required.

You will be responsible primarily for helping the company secure rail engineering projects with Irish Rail and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with key customers by communicating to identify business challenges and solutions, provide market knowledge and competitive analysis, and ensuring that any opportunities for business development is captured and distributed across the business. You will also develop client engagement strategies, support procurement processes, and review and support bids among other responsibilities.

The successful candidate must have experience working with and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders at Irish Rail with an in-depth knowledge of their structure and power bases, have experience work winning within the railway, have a degree in engineering or equivalent (ideally being chartered), and have technical experience in the following rail systems: telecoms, signalling, civils, E&P, ETCS/TMS, OLE/electrification and track. You will also have experience working on major infrastructure projects and have knowledge of project management software, customer relationship management software (CRM), proposal software and presentation tools.
