Astute's Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor to look after the Steel Erection package on a 12-month contract for its Scotland site.
The Mechanical Supervisor role comes with competitive rate per day.
Key skills:
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and mechanical crews involved in:
- Structural steel erection (frames, platforms, supports)
- Installation of large-bore and small-bore ducting systems
- Assembly and installation of ACC units and associated pipework
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site HSE procedures and industry best practices
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Monitor progress against project schedules and provide daily/weekly reports
- Inspect mechanical works to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications
- Raise and manage site queries, non-conformances, and technical issues
- Liaise with engineering, planning, quality, and safety teams
- Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Ensure materials and equipment are available and correctly stored or handled
- Support commissioning and handover activities as required

- Outside IR35
