Quantity Surveyor (Contract) – Rail Stations Project
Location: Oxford (Hybrid Working)
Contract Type: Contract
Rate: Competitive (DOE)

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a rail stations project in Oxford on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme with flexible hybrid working and a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial management of rail station works from pre-construction through delivery

  • Preparation, review, and management of cost plans, forecasts, and budgets

  • Assessment and agreement of variations and change control

  • Measurement and valuation of works completed

  • Managing applications for payment and final accounts

  • Supporting procurement and subcontract management

  • Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders

  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial best practice

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on rail or infrastructure projects (stations experience desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC)

  • Excellent commercial and contractual awareness

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred
