Overview
We are seeking an inspiring, passionate, and experienced Lower Secondary English Teacher to join our international school in Jakarta. You will teach English to Grades 6–8 (Years 7–9) using the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, with support from the IMYC enquiry-based framework. You will help students develop literacy, analytical, and communication skills, and foster inquiry, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary connections. Collaboration with a multicultural team of educators and participation in extracurricular and school community life is essential.
About Our School
Located in Indonesia, the forward-thinking international school in Jakarta offers a SPK-registered programme. In Lower Secondary (Grades 6-8 / Years 7-9) they follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum for English, Maths, Science (plus Global Perspectives & ICT) alongside the IMYC enquiry-based framework. Specialist teachers cover creative arts, languages, PE, and more. Expat students have choice in optional subjects; national students have a streamlined option. After Lower Secondary, students progress to IGCSE and International A Levels.

The ideal candidate
- Degree in English / Education (or related field)
- Teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ teaching experience, including overseas experience
- Demonstrated experience teaching IMYC, IGCSE, and SEN students
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Experience teaching English within the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum (preferred)
