Our Client is a well established Douglas-based organisation that offers a comprehensive suite of accountancy and wealth management services to enable clients to grow, manage and preserve all facets of their financial affairs through cross-border resources and expertise-led solutions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established team.

Reporting to the Accounts Manager and Directors, the Senior Accountant will:

Collaborate within the team to manage a diverse portfolio
Supervise and support team members where required
Prepare and review financial statements for small to medium-sized companies in line with IFRS 102 Section 1A
Oversee bookkeeping for client structures
Ensure timely delivery of financial statements to clients
Respond to client queries regarding financial statements
Prepare and review management accounts
Prepare and review VAT returns for client structures
Support UK / IOM statutory reporting requirements
Constructively challenge existing systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and client experience
Undertake additional duties or projects as required

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Accountant will have:

Be ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified by experience
Good A Levels or equivalent
Proven accounting experience at a senior level
Ability to actively prioritise and manage workload

Desirable:

Experience with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential
Understanding of Isle of Man legislation and systems
Understanding of UK Tax legislation
Experience with CCH and Laserfiche
