Manufacturing Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB24)
Duration: 6 Months FTC
Hours: 7am until 3:45pm Monday to Thursday and 7am until 12:45pm on a Friday

Polytec are looking for a Manufacturing Technician for our Cambridge based client.� This role is for 6 months in the first instance although there may be potential for it to become permanent.

Responsibilities:

* Assembly of electro-mechanical sub-systems following manufacturing instructions
* Testing / commissioning of integrated electro-mechanical assemblies
* Assembly and test of integrated robotics and other sub-systems
* Support testing / commissioning / debugging of integrated robotic sub-systems

Requirements:

* Relevant NVQ / BTEC qualification and at least 5 GCSEs at greater than C grade
* Good written English is essential
* Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel
* Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly or test (ideally within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)
* Ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
* Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools)
* Experience using test / measurement equipment (bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes)
