Waste Cleaner

Job Title: Waste Cleaner (Night Shift)
Location: Waste Recovery Park, Knaresborough HG5 0SD

Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (3-month initial contract)
Pay: 14.36 per hour / Equivalent to 28,000 per annum (Permanent Equivalent)

The Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Waste Cleaner to join our night shift team at Waste Recovery Park, Knaresborough HG5 0SD. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe environment within our Mechanical Treatment Facility by ensuring all machinery and structures are thoroughly cleaned

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning of equipment including trommels, ballistic separators, conveyor belts, and structural components
• Removal of mixed general waste
• Performing physically demanding tasks, including working at height
• Adhering strictly to Health & Safety protocols
• Contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment

All training will be provided on-site and externally as required.

What We're Looking For:

• Prior industrial cleaning experience (preferred, not essential)
• A strong work ethic with a proactive and safety-first mindset
• Keen attention to detail
• Willingness to work in an environment dealing with general waste
• A team player with a "get-up-and-go" attitude

Opportunity:

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for a committed personnel to grow with our team. After an initial 3-month period, the successful candidate may be offered a permanent position.
