Guidant Global is partnering with a trusted affiliate of the UK's Ministry of Defence to recruit a proficient C++ Software Architect. This position entails working at the Bristol facility to develop cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems. Key Responsibilities:
This position is highly interactive and involves the ongoing design and development of Command and Control architectures, as well as their implementation for future products. It is ideally suited for a proactive Software Engineer who demonstrates initiative.
What do you need?:
- Extensive experience in software engineering, including its implementation and system-wide impact.
- Proficient in C++ programming.
- Skilled in developing and working with software architecture models.
- Demonstrates a collaborative and open approach to development, with the ability to work effectively in a team and maintain momentum throughout the development process.
- Comprehensive experience across the entire software development lifecycle, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and validation, supported by thorough documentation.
- Familiarity with new tools, techniques, and methodologies that can enhance our processes, improving efficiency and sustainability.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Ada and QT.
- In-depth knowledge of Real-Time Multi-Threaded Applications.
- Understanding of industry standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508, and adherence to restricted coding standards like MISRA C++.
