We are supporting a key client of ours who are currently seeking a Senior Technician (CAD/Highways) to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is integral to the successful delivery of various highway improvement schemes through effective use of Autodesk Civil 3D modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing technical design drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemes
- Preparing contract documents to ensure timely implementation of highway projects within budgets
- Collecting, assessing, and disseminating essential information for scheme preparation and implementation
- Preparing estimates for budget assessment and monitoring
- Collaborating with contractors, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project delivery
- Visiting sites to assist in resolving construction issues
- Considering Health and Safety, as well as sustainability, when identifying design solutions
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of CAD and Autodesk Civil 3D for highway improvement schemes
- Experience in highway design and the preparation of technical design drawings
- Competency in preparing contract documents and budget estimates
- Ability to liaise effectively with external contractors and statutory undertakers
- Possession of a valid driving licence (category B)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
