Are you passionate about English and skilled at helping students thrive? We're looking for dedicated online English Tutors to support our cohort of GCSE students as they prepare for their upcoming exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' academic journeys.
You'll provide supplementary tuition in GCSE English Language and/or Literature, helping students strengthen their skills and boost their confidence. Sessions are delivered online, with flexible hours available both during and after school.
About you:
- Strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK school setting as a:
- HLTA
- Cover Supervisor
- Teaching Assistant
- Teacher
- Tutor
- Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Ability to build rapport and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
As an online English Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective online tuition in GCSE English Language and/or Literature
- Support students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills, while building exam confidence
- Tailor sessions to meet individual learning needs, interests, and academic goals
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continued development

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
- Expertise with the Science curriculum
- Experience of working with learners with SEN
