Senior Town Planner - Dynamic Consultancy | Birmingham | 45,000 - 65,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Town Planner looking for your next step in a collaborative, forward-thinking consultancy? I'm currently working with a well-established planning and development firm based in the Birmingham area, known for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Senior Town Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing planning applications, and contributing to the strategic direction of high-profile developments.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading on complex planning applications and appeals for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

  • Building strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.

  • Advising on planning policy, site appraisals, and development potential.

  • Mentoring junior members of the team and contributing to their professional growth.

  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in planning legislation and market trends.



What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited).

  • MRTPI qualified (or working towards full membership with strong justification).

  • Proven experience working in a consultancy or local authority environment.

  • Strong report writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Confidence managing multiple projects and deadlines independently.
