Are you an experienced Water Hygiene Technician with plumbing experience looking for your next opportunity? Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance, safety, and the smooth operation of water systems across a wide range of client sites.
You will be covering the South of England, with occasional travel further afield, and will require staying away from home at times.
The Role
As a Water Hygiene Technician, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Plumbing remedial work and pipework modifications
- Removal of dead legs and TMV (thermostatic mixing valve) servicing, including fail-safe testing
- Clean and chlorination of tanks and water systems
- Calorifier inspections
- Completing water monitoring logbooks, service reports, and observations via mobile applications
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274 guidelines
Requirements
- Recognised NVQ/C&G plumbing qualification
- Previous experience in water hygiene remedials, including plumbing modifications and TMV installations
- Knowledge of Legionella Control (L8) and HSG274
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel and stay away when required
