Fabricator / Welder - £17-£19ph

Fabricator Welder Supervisor - £22ph

Location: Hampshire 
Shift Pattern: Days

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of components using a variety of techniques and materials, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate components from stainless steel and mild steel sheet and sections.
  • Carry out welding using MIG, TIG, and Manual Metal Arc.
  • Accurately interpret technical drawings and manufacture components accordingly.
  • Follow written instructions and standard manufacturing procedures.
  • Work closely with fellow fabricators, welders, and other team members to ensure production targets are met efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in accordance with workshop standards.
  • Operate a range of tools and machinery including guillotines, brake presses, rolls, and various hand tools.
  • Liaise with supervisors and stores personnel to ensure timely availability of materials.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in marking out, cutting, squaring, and bending materials.
  • Skilled in the use of fabrication equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of City & Guilds, BTEC First Certificate, or NVQ Level 2 in Welding & Fabrication or a related field.
