Machine Shop Team Leader Role and Company Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader to join a bespoke and successful engineering business. A global supplier with several decades of experience, this is one of their most exciting periods, with an increase in demand for their product leading to growth and investment onsite.
This is very much a hands-on focussed role. It is essential that you have experience operating CNC milling and lathe machines. Fabrication/Fitting experience would be highly advantageous.

Machine Shop Team Leader Hours and Benefits
- £36,000 - £44,000 (dependant on experience)
- 37.5 Hours per week, 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday
- Overtime and bonus opportunities
This position is commutable from – Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield, Burntwood
Machine Shop Team Leader Candidate RequirementsÂ
- Solid engineering background with practical, hands-on experience.
- CNC machining expertise.
- Organised, proactive, and quality focused.
- Fabrication/fitting experience is a bonus.
- Any exposure to heavy engineering / castings or foundry would be highly advantageous.
Machine Shop Team Leader Key responsibilities
- Lead a small engineering team and keep workflow on track.
- Read and work from engineering drawings to precision tolerances.
- Operate CNC milling and lathe machines (medium/large components – utilizing XYZ or Haas).
- Fabricate and fit components where needed.
