Are you looking for the next step in your tax career, with the chance to manage your own portfolio and build client relationships in a supportive practice environment?This established accountancy practice is looking for a Tax Senior to join their Alton office, reporting to the Tax Manager. With a friendly, professional culture and scope to develop your skills further, this role offers stability, flexibility and career progression.You’ll manage a varied client portfolio, preparing and reviewing tax returns and acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day queries. Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

Preparing Self-Assessment Personal Tax Returns for review, client approval and HMRC submission
Managing a portfolio of clients, including rental, investment, company directors and high net worth individuals
Exposure to partners, partnerships, CGT, P11Ds, ATED, trust registrations and trust & estate tax returns (depending on interest and background)
Keeping working files structured and up to date
Organising and prioritising your workload effectively, coordinating with the wider team
Providing regular updates to managers/partners and flagging key client matters
Staying on top of changes in tax legislation, with CPD support

What you will need:

Previous experience in a similar role, such as Tax Senior / Tax Semi-Senior / Tax Manager / Accountant
ATT qualification or part-qualification, QBE can be considered
Strong accuracy, attention to detail and a self-motivated approach
