An excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Warehouse Team Leader who is looking to join a friendly and enthusiastic team. Experience of aviation rules and regulations preferred. The key function will be to organise and supervise the day to day requirements in the warehouse, to ensure that customer service levels are met and maintained to the highest standards adhering to all necessary legal compliance

Main Warehouse Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the warehousing, storage and logistic functions highlight staffing shortages to the Maintenance Manager
  • Maintain and promote departments KPI’s
  • Organise and ensure that periodic cycle counts and stock takes are completed on time and that there is a continual understanding of accurate stock levels
  • Ensure delivery of materials to workshops
  • Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system
  • Organise and Lead the annual stock take
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Handle any hazardous material in an appropriate manner
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensuring complete segregation between serviceable and unserviceable items
  • Ensuring maintenance checks of FLT and pallet trucks is conducted and accurate records are maintained
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
  • Follow quality standards and comply with procedures rules and regulations.

Experience required for the Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Previous experience in Supervisory/Team Leader role.
  • Current forklift licence
  • Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent and Grade 4 or C pass in Maths and English
  • 5 years plus experience within a store’s or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically - good numeracy, IT skills and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of customs/import/export regulations
  • Ability to plan and organise work and accurately complete paperwork in accordance with compliance.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / costs
  • Awareness of Dangerous Goods Handling and aviation security
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Willing to work overtime when required
  • Knowledge of aviation rules & regulations would be an advantage.
