Civils Construction Worker

Role Summary

We are looking for dedicated Civils Workers to join our team on a full time basis to assist in the construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidates will have experience in groundwork, drainage, and structural work, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires extensive travel and occasional overnight stays as needed.

Role & Responsibilities

Perform groundwork, including excavation, trenching, and foundation preparation

Install and maintain drainage systems, pipes, and other utilities

Assist in the construction of embankment stabilisations, retaining walls, and other infrastructures

Operate machinery such as excavators, dumpers, and compactors

Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment

Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople

Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition

Safe operation of machinery and equipment

Conduct quality checks, inspecting completed work for defects or structural integrity

Complete daily site records, reporting issues as necessary

Skills

Previous experience in civil engineering or construction essential

Ability to work independently

Ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Knowledge of construction materials and techniques

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Valid CSCS card preferrable

Valid CPCS Card preferable

Full driving license essential
