A well-established building contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee several new build and refurbishment works for public sector and private sector clients. Project values range from 100k to 2 million and are primarily based in the North West.

They are seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts Manager to oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the construction industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple construction contracts from pre-construction through to final handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee site managers and ensure effective day-to-day site operations.
  • Maintain close communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and monitor project programmes, progress reports, and cost forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Visit sites regularly (predominantly in the North West, with some national travel as required).

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract administration knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Sound understanding of construction methods, technical specifications, and building regulations.
