WORKS PLANNER/SCHEDULER (POSSESSION PLANNING SUPPORT)

Role is based in Milton Keynes or Birmingham for 6 months.

MUST HAVE RAIL EXPERIENCE

Role Description
Responsible for work scheduling to meet the requirements of the Delivery Units work plans and the production of associated RIMINI plans. Essentially to book worksites within existing possessions, raise Safe System of Work Packs, Issue Track Visitor Permits, access to Rail Hub.


Deliverables
• Supports the development of the Quarterly Work Plan.
• Manage alignment of plan and schedule at all times.
• Prepare all associated RIMINI plans and coordinate method statements.
• Monitor so that all changes are captured effectively to the prescribed standards.
• Administer and maintain company databases, records and work scheduling systems.
• Provide data analysis and reporting support service to the Delivery Unit.
• Review the effective identification and management of all risks associated with maintenance delivery.

Essential Skills/ Experience:
• 12 months experience in infrastructure works delivery in an operational environment.
• Track record of getting results through others preferably in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Grounding in all types of planning techniques.
• Understanding of Company Standard RT/LS/S/019.
• Time management.
• Good MS Office skills, MIMS, P3e, and TRUST experience.
• Able to demonstrate relevant Railway experience.
• Able to absorb and recall large quantities of information quickly.
• Detailed understanding of financial issues.
• Able to effectively communicate to all levels of people inside and outside the business.
• Able to influence decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable
• Experience in works planning and scheduling within the operational railway environment.
• Computer literate (PPS, QEI).
