This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients who lack mental capacity, providing essential support in managing their property and financial affairs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of deputyship applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Support fee earners in managing client matters, including drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records.
  • Liaise with clients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant legislation and case law.
  • Attend client meetings and court hearings as required, providing administrative support.
  • Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other relevant regulations.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a paralegal, preferably within Court of Protection, private client, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Court of Protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with vulnerable clients.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.

Desirable Attributes:
