NJR are delighted to once again be working with a multi-Channel retailer, who due to their ever-expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for a Buying Assistant / Assistant Buyer to join their ladieswear buying team based in South Manchester.

They are looking for a dynamic individual to join our ever evolving Buying team. Someone who needs to be both creative and analytical demonstrating a natural flair for design. The ideal candidate will need be an expert in fashion, they must have a creative vision and be able to predict and react to the trends using in depth market research and trend forecasters.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the buying manager to support and develop on-line ranges
  • Provide seasonal direction based on knowledge and trends
  • Maintain and update critical path, proactively communicating any changes to the relevant team. Being proactive by highlighting any potential issues and reacting quickly
  • Experienced in lab dip and bulk approvals ensuring all key dates are met to ensure on time deliveries
  • Soley responsible for all administration duties
  • Ensuring the completion of all paperwork from planning the ranges through to completing the final purchase orders, attention to detail is crucial
  • Working collaboratively with teams across the business to maximise sales across all channels
  • Build a relationship with suppliers as well as Buying, Merchandising and Technology teams demonstrating good communication skills
  • Engage with the Creative, Marketing and Ecommerce teams to ensure productive relationships
  • Highly organised and keep on top of key diary dates coming up, to ensure deadlines are met

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Be a well-established Assistant Buyer with 2 years’ experience preferably within womenswear
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all tasks
  • Market place commercial awareness, including fashion trends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
  • Microsoft office skills, especially Excel
  • Natural ability to identify future fashion trends and a real passion for product
  • Be knowledgeable in fabrications
