Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented humanities teacher to join a secondary school in south Manchester.

This is a full-time temporary supply teaching role from as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.

The Role

Teacher of Religious Education and History

Five days a week 8am to 3pm

The timetable is predominantly RE , with some lessons of geography and PSHE.

Teacher of Core Religious Education lessons with a focus on developing open- minded and empathetic learners supporting British Values

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to a broad range of beliefs and cultures.

The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching Religious Education to students aged 11 to 18.

11-16 non selective secondary school

Recent changes to its behaviour and reward systems have significantly improved the school's atmosphere. In their latest Ofsted inspection (September 2024), the school was rated Good, with inspectors noting:

"The school is a calm and orderly environment. Many pupils display positive attitudes to learning. Those pupils who struggle to manage their own behaviour receive appropriate support."
