Contek are working with an engineering client that operates from a 28,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. Making use of a wide range of the very latest machining cells including Multi Pallet Horizontal Milling, Multi Axis Mill-Turn Machining, Robotic and Bar Fed Lathes through to Swiss style Sliding Head Lathes to provide a flexible, competitive and reliable production solution.

Two sides of the business, comprising of sub-contract machining for various industries including Automotive, Hydraulics and Defence - to Medical assembly of components within ISO13485 standards.

Through growth, on the Medical side - they are looking to expand the team, and are looking for Assembly Technicians to join the team ina permanent position

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in manufacturing and assembling high-precision Medical assembly units.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assemble mechanical parts as per company drawings and specification, following company procedures. (Up to around 60/70 parts and various different units).
  • Some electrical experience required - but majority mechanical assembly. Gluing and soldering of switches.
  • To adhere to Company Quality processes and procedures, maintaining required standards.
  • To assemble andvarious different mechanical units and assemblies, adhering to drawings and company procedures. Utilizing various hand tools. Parts include gears, ratchets and motors.
  • To undertake any other task reasonably requested.

Other Responsibilities

  • Ensure working areas, plant, tools, and production equipment are kept tidy.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and instructions.
  • Comply with the Company Policy on Health & Safety.

Requirements

  • High dexterity and experience with assemblyequipment.
  • Prior experience in assembliespreferred.
  • A focus on precision and right-first-time approach.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and a keen eye for detail.
