Payroll Officer

Full-Time or Part-Time and PermanentCarmarthen £25-32,000 depending on your experience My client is considering a team member who is looking for a 3/4 or 5 day week! There is a degree of flexibility to this role, and it could work perfectly around childcare, or study. Alternatively, if you want a bit of work / life balance and a bit more "me" time, this could tick all the boxes.I am looking for someone with payroll experience (end to end ideally, but not essentially) to join a busy Payroll Bureau. Providing a comprehensive payroll and pension service for a range of businesses from sole traders and partnerships, right up to larger companies! This role might suit someone who has never worked in a practice before but would like to expand into that area. You will work with your colleagues and nominated senior members of each business, with varying pay cycles and frequencies, striving to deliver the very best customer service possible to meet varied payroll needs. You will prepare accurate payroll records and ensure timely payments using designated payroll software, comply with all HMRC legislation (including RTI / Auto enrolment), process BACS payments and ensure chargeable hours and recovery targets are met! This role will require you to be a superstar in terms of customer service. As an experienced payroll officer, that will come as second nature, but you will probably find yourself liaising with a much wider and more diverse range of people than in your average industry role.Salary will depend on level of experience, but the range above is based on a 37-hour week; we are looking for someone with at least 6 months' exposure to payroll in a work environment, and training will be given to help you make the move to practice.
