Overview
A college in the Andover area is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across City & Guilds programmes (Levels 1–3). This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week), offering stability and progression within a supportive environment.
You will play a key role in helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in further study or employment, teaching across a range of practical and theory-based modules.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in Mechanical Engineering across City & Guilds Levels 1–3.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure positive progress.
- Support learners through practical workshops and classroom sessions.
- Monitor and track student achievement, providing feedback and guidance.
- Contribute to curriculum development and course planning within the engineering department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practice.

Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related subject).
- Experience delivering City & Guilds (or equivalent vocational qualifications) at Levels 1–3.
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities.
