A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Andover area. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role covers a range of Technology subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for a Lead Teacher of Technology position for an experienced and ambitious candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach across a range of technology disciplines (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Graphics, etc.)
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and innovation
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress through differentiated teaching
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental improvement
  • Support or lead extracurricular technology clubs and projects
  • Play a full role in the school community and enrichment initiatives
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Design & Technology, Food Technology, Product Design, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching DT at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of curriculum developments
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • A passion for encouraging creativity, independence, and technical skills in students
  • Ambition to lead and develop the DT department (for those interested in the Lead Teacher role)
