The ideal candidate for this role is Degree educated within in a related field and has experience of working in a similar post.Â
The role will involve:
- Schedule stock replenishments based on forecasts and vendor capacity to maintain industry-standard fill rates and turns.
- Monitor customer backorders and initiate manufacturing as needed.
- Coordinate with finance business managers if the profitability of a planned manufacturing job drops below tolerance.
- Plan and complete procurement of finished goods from global manufacturers and suppliers.
- Work with the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries from vendors or internal shops.
- Connect with suppliers to resolve issues with costing, product specs, and stale life.
 The experience needed to make this role a success includes:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a planner-buyer desired.
- Proven experience with Excel, Oracle JD Edwards, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and successfully implement plans.
- Knowledge of book manufacturing processes and paper specifications is a plus.
