Personnel Selection are pleased to be working alongside this market-leading employer, who are currently seeking to recruit a Planning & Forecasting Coordinator (Planner-Buyer) on a full time and permanent basis.

The ideal candidate for this role is Degree educated within in a related field and has experience of working in a similar post. 

The role will involve:

  • Schedule stock replenishments based on forecasts and vendor capacity to maintain industry-standard fill rates and turns.
  • Monitor customer backorders and initiate manufacturing as needed.
  • Coordinate with finance business managers if the profitability of a planned manufacturing job drops below tolerance.
  • Plan and complete procurement of finished goods from global manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Work with the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries from vendors or internal shops.
  • Connect with suppliers to resolve issues with costing, product specs, and stale life.

 The experience needed to make this role a success includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a planner-buyer desired.
  • Proven experience with Excel, Oracle JD Edwards, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and successfully implement plans.
  • Knowledge of book manufacturing processes and paper specifications is a plus.
