JOB- Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION- Hampshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area with experience in the manufacturing industry in a fast paced environment. Your main duty will be to drive continuous improvement as well as Project manage Manufacturing Engineering NPI Projects.

The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering or science discipline, or demonstrably equivalent through work-based experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Experience with VSM and other Lean techniques is an advantage
  • Hit the ground running, leading change and developing new ways of working through collaboration
  • Has a challenger mind mentality
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt beneficial
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team

The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  • Co-ordinate continuous improvement projects across cross functional teams
  • Analyse current processes for cost reduction and improvement activities
  • Communicating between procurement, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Assist in ensuring that standard operating procedures, work instructions, test instructions and control plans are clearly defined, documented and communicated by the best available methods.
  • Support the transfer of new processes or new products (NPI) from Development to Manufacture.
  • Assist in the Training of operators on new products, processes and equipment.
  • New product development & implementing new machines and processes
  • Design of jigs and fixtures to improve existing processes
  • Manage project schedules for New Product Introductions
  • Assisting with planning from time to time when required
  • Creating routings, listing all internal and external operations
